Good Friday is a very sacred festival for the people of Christianity.  The festival of Good Friday is celebrated by the people of Christianity.  Good Friday also known as Great Friday.  This day is very special for Christians.  This festival is celebrated to commemorate the death caused by the Christian people in the Calvary crucifixion, but hardly people of other religions will know why 'Good Friday' is called " Good Friday"?

On Good Friday, followers who follow Christianity go to church and remember the Lord Jesus.  A few days after the birth of Christ, the Christians celebrate the time of penance, atonement and fasting.  This time which starts on 'Ash Wednesday' and ends on 'Good Friday' is called 'Lent'.  As a symbol of the cross on which Jesus was crucified, a wooden plate is placed in the churches as a mark of reverence for the believers.  Followers of Jesus come and kiss him one by one.

Thereafter, discourses, meditations and prayers are performed in the ceremony.  During this time, the devotees remember the suffering suffered by the Lord Jesus on the cross for three hours.  Wearing black robes at night time, the devotees carry out a moving ceremony celebrating mourning with the image of Jesus and a symbolic funeral procession.  Since Good Friday is a day of atonement and prayer, bells are not played in churches on this day.

Good Friday is also known as Holy Friday, Black Friday and Great Friday.  The festival is celebrated during the Holy Week, which occurs on the Friday before Easter Sunday and is followed as part of the Pashkal treedom and often accompanies the Passover of the Jews.

Friday is celebrated as Good Friday, three days before the resurrection of Christ.  On this day, devotees pray and meditate with fasting.  Decoration items are removed from churches and homes or they are covered with cloth.  Preparations for Good Friday begin forty days in advance of prayer and fasting.  During this, emphasis is on vegetarian and satvic food.  On the Friday of Good Friday, a special explanation is given to the last seven sentences of Jesus, which focus on forgiveness, reconciliation, help, and sacrifice.

The Bible mentions that a scholar asked Jesus, Guruvara, what do I have to do to have eternal life?  Jesus said to him, love God with all your heart, soul and all power and love your neighbor as yourself.  Then that person asked another question, but who is my neighbor?  Jesus said, at any time that needy and helpless person who is in front of you, he is your neighbor.

How to celebrate Good Friday ?

According to Roman custom, there is usually no Mass festival after the Lord's Supper on the evening of the Holy Thursday until the Easter observance period is over.  There is no feast of feast in remembrance of the Lord Jesus Christ and it is distributed only among devotees during the service of the Passover of the Lord.
The worship altar remains completely empty and nothing cross, candle or cloth remains there.  According to custom, the holy water rituals are emptied to get the blessings of water during the Easter monitoring period.  The ideal time of celebration of Passion of the Lord is 3 pm.  At this time the color of the dress of the priest is red.  Before nineteen seventies, the color of the dress was black, only the communion part was purple.  Before nineteen fifty five, the whole dress was the law of black.  If a bishop performs this ritual, he wears a plain crown.  Prayer has three parts - recitation of the Bible and religious texts, worship of the cross and participation in the Lord's Supper.
The first part of the Bible lesson contains a frequency or recitation of love and praise to the Lord Jesus, often performed by more than one reader or singer.  This first phase consists of a series of prayers that follow the church, the pope, the clergy and homemakers in the church, those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, those who do not believe in God, those who work in public offices, and especially the needy.  Is done for the people.
